collect information from you when you either fill out an
application form to join our Friends' Group and post or
hand it to us or if you take out a subscription via
Paypal: The data is stored on our Membership Secretarys computer. Only the Membership Secretary has access to the data. Additionally, if the member has supplied an email address, the members name and their email address are stored in an online newsletter publishing system called 'MailChimp' so that email newsletters can be sent to members occasionally. Only the Membership Secretary and Newsletter Editor have access to this online data which is protected by userid and password. We will never share your personal data No information is shared with anyone else. Occasionally the Group Chairman may request information about a member from the Membership Secretary in order to contact the member. Retaining and deleting personal data Your information is deleted from the membership spreadsheet and the online newsletter publishing system when your membership expires due to non-payment of a subscription for a year. Your subscription history is archived into an archive spreadsheet in case you later decide to renew membership. You may ask for your information to be removed from our system and/or newsletter system completely and this will be actioned as soon as possible within 14 days. You may request to see the information that we store about you at any time and you may ask for us to change the data that we are holding about you. Should you ever wish to have your personal data removed from our systems, simply contact us via email admin@becrec.net or by post at 19, Clock House Road, Beckenham, Kent BR3 4JS Amendments We reserve the right to amend this policy at any time without notice in order to better protect your personal data, and to comply with all legal regulations.
