CD REVIEW -
CHRISTMAS AT THE MOVIES – LONDON CONCERTANTE
CMG Records – CMG 13024.

Total playing time 65 minutes.
Release date: December 1st 2025

Founded in 1999, London Concertante has, for the last five years, undertaken phenomenally successful 'Christmas At The Movies' tours, playing to over half a million audience members and travelling more than 100,000 miles in the process ! This new CD aims to capture the spirit of these 'live' performances, to be enjoyed at home.

Over the course of 15 tracks, we hear music from Jingle Jangle, Elf, Miracle On 34th Street, Love Actually, A Christmas Carol, Home Alone, It’s A Wonderful Life, The Chronicles Of Narnia, Scrooged, Die Hard, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Snowman, The Holiday, White Christmas and Polar Express.

Chris Grist, the Ensemble's Executive Producer and Artistic Director writes: "There is a huge amount of seasonal music out there, but what sets 'Christmas At The Movies' apart is the quality of the music we have chosen, the world-class arrangements and the exceptional musicianship of our players".

It has been some years since my wife and I attended a London Concertante performance given in a church at Pinner, Middlesex, but I can certainly vouch for the veracity of those comments !

Purchasers of this CD will not be disappointed. It is available for £12.00 via the London Concertante website.
